Goddesses Of The Waxing Moon

The waxing moon is when the moon is growing towards being full. It’s a time to celebrate the goddess in her maiden form. Here are some waxing moon/maiden goddesses: 

Zirna (Etruscan)- She is always depicted with a half-moon hanging from her neck, indicating that she was probably honored at the beginning of the second quarter phase of the moon.

Teczistecatl (Aztec) - A Goddess of sex, symbolized by the four phases of the moon: dark, waxing, full, and waning.

Yemanja (Native South American) - She was the Brazilian Goddess of the oceans symbolized by a waxing crescent moon. Yemanja was also considered to represent the essence of motherhood and a protector of children.

Artemis (Greek) - The Greek Goddess of the hunt, nature and birth. This maiden Goddess is symbolized by the crescent moon.

Epona (Celtic) - Maiden horse goddess of fertility, abundance, and prosperity.
